This was the poster from my school’s first ever Spirit Week

I arranged pretty much everything, from the ground up.

It was a huge success, thank G-d.

We had a canned food drive for a food pantry, grade v. grade dodgeball, a doubleheader softball game, spiritwear giveaways, etc..

And let’s talk about superheroes, as a theme. Often they are not so much more extraordinary than your or me, because they are often too human. They are crippled by their greatness because so many people want to bring them down or they have to give so much of themselves to help the ones they love. Everyone wants to be a superhero because they want to believe they can shoulder that burden. 

But Superman had Lois Lane.

Cyclops had Jean Grey.

Batman had Robin.

Mr. Fantastic had Invisible Woman.

Everyone had a sidekick or a love interest. Everyone had a teammate or teammates. No one is a superhero for selfish reasons - being super means being greater for everyone else.

Just thinking thoughts, y’all.
